Best Horror Anime

These horror anime are sure to send shivers down even the most devoted fans' thorns.

Corpse Party: Tortured Souls

Corpse Party's haunted school is a slaughter fest, if another's was a slaughterhouse. This anime is set in Kisaragi Academy, which was built on top of the demolished Heavenly Host Academy. Heavenly Host Academy, on the other hand, was a formerly derelict structure that housed mass murderers, rapists, and other oddities whose souls remained trapped there.

Furthermore, despite being demolished, Heavenly Host Academy continued to exist in another dimension. So Kisaragi Academy students get to go on their own deadly inter dimensional field trips to Celestial Host Academy.

 Shiki

In a summary, Shiki is a Japanese take on undead, but words cannot convey how the anime frightens and enrages its viewers. The story starts when a series of strange murders begin to occur in a small rural village.
These murders also coincide with the arrival of an old dynasty who has temporarily moved to a castle on the outskirts of town. It may appear straightforward, but the plot twists, as well as the anime's pessimistic portrayal of human behavior, make it worth watching for any real horror fan.

 Mi Yu Xing Zhe

A group of people wake up to find themselves on a deserted island full of diseases, and less than friendly tribes. And no, it’s not because they don’t have bombs, okay!
Our protagonist has amnesia as well. And they have to figure out how they ended up on this island and how they are going to survive there. The cliche of island survival is not new. However, the mystery surrounding the entire situation is quite intense.

Psychic Detective Yakumo

I mean, the protagonist's name is Yakumo, and one of his eyes is red, enabling him to talk with the dead. It's a very story driven show in which each episode is a small ghost story that the protagonists must solve. However, there is an overarching plot that moves each case forward.
It's also admirably complex and unpredictable. If you like scary stories and old police, this manga should be perfect.

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust

Typical of the Vampire Hunter D formula, this film is associated with hatred, blood and guts, and lengthy action sequences. The plot is simple: wealthy people want to regain their daughter from a vampire. She develops Ptsd, which has now become more complicated.
That is all you really need to know about the plot.If you're looking for some good old-fashioned spooky action with limbs flying everywhere, give this one a look. Or, at the very least, save it for a rainy day.
